Maria and Nate met in Little Rock so we wanted to do some shots in the city. We had a great time! It was soooo cold, but you can't tell. :) They are such a beautiful couple!! I can't wait to meet sweet Mr. H in just a few weeks!

All of the sudden the trolley train drove by! I was so excited to get it in a few of the portraits. I love the bright colors!

I really liked the color effects on both of these. I liked how she's all balled up in this one.

Miss K and her perfect tummy!! No photoshoping here folks....it is that perfect. I took Miss K's senior portraits a few years ago and I was so happy when she asked me to do maternity portraits! I'm really excited to meet little Miss K!!! I loved the look of Mrs. K out in nature. Seemed very "mother earth" to me.

I really liked how baby K is in tight focus and her mommy is in a soft focus. It's all about baby K.

Something about that black background with the belly.

This was very whimsical. So beautiful!

3 Year Portraits, Mr. P

In my opinion, 3 years is one of the BEST times to take portraits of your child. Don't get me wrong, I think anytime is a great time! ;) A 3 year old is still a child, but so close to starting preschool and getting so big!

Anyway, I was so excited to take these portraits of one of my dear friends little boy. He is one of my son's favorite friend to play with! Mr. P was perfect! I thought his portraits turned out great!

His blue eyes are soo beautiful! What a handsome little boy!

We had a 'freeze frame' at our booth on Sunday! We took tons of pictures of engaged couples and brides-to-be with moms and friends. It was a lot of fun! Here are just a few...

Here is our booth! We had 4 canvas prints, a few engagement portraits, computer running our website and a few wedding galleries, brochures explaining services, business cards, leather wedding album and a bridal album. We had a $50 print giveaway that brides registered for. We had tons of brides stop by our booth and we are so excited.

This canvas of Rebecca and Jason's first dance is printed with a metalic sheen, it looks awesome!

Mr. C came for his first photo shoot! He did so good! There was a monumental moment while he was in the studio... His mom and dad were a lot of fun too!

Mr. C started crawling for the first time in our studio!! Way to go Mr. C! Mom and dad were wishing they brought the video camera. :) Mr. C's parents had some very unique ideas that they wanted to do. I really like the way this photo turned out. Mr. C in his dad's jeans--you've got a lot to fill. :)

This is a very special portriat, Mr. C's grandfather and mother both wore this outfit for special photos. We tried to recreate it like their photos.

The M family is so beautiful! 3 little girls and 1 handsome little guy! They are so well behaved and such good kids. Mrs. M was wanting a picture of her children all smiling and happy....that is not easy to do with 4 kids! So, we took a bunch used a little photoshop and you can see all happy faces. They just bought a new plantation home and this photo will be the largest print we have printed so far...24x30 canvas!

I thought this was so funny! Sorry Mr. M....it was really funny when you started to cry and your sisters all cracked up laughing... :)

The oldest sister, Miss C. Such a beauty and so smart. I see her as the CEO of some company, running it all.

Miss C, middle sister. She is so bubbly and wanted to pose. We took a bunch of her! She was really into having her photo taken just by herself. Love her dark curly hair.

Miss M, the youngest sister. She has such a sweet kind spirit. Very angelic in this photo, it's one of my favorites.Mr. M, what are you going to do with 3 older sisters?! He is the king of the castle and his new home he will have a third floor all to himself.

Take me out to the ballgame...This little cutie is going to be a heart breaker!! I love those big brown eyes and smile. Mr. J is my nephew and his mommy wanted to redo his bedroom in baseball/sports theme, so what could be cuter than Mr. J poster size in the room??? Too cute! Mr. J was a ham and enjoyed playing around.

I have never seen a 2 year old as athletic as Mr. J. He can pedal a bike, catch, throw and has been able to for awhile. Look for his name in lights someday soon!

APPA Convention

I spent Sunday-Wednesday afternoon at the APPA (Arkansas Professional Photographers Association) Convention in Little Rock. It was awesome!! There were so many good speakers and one of them was THE wedding photographer for the stars. Dennis Reggie, he photographed JFK Jr's wedding, Maria and Arnold- just to name a few. He had to fly out early the next day because he was photographing the Today Show couple that got married on Wednesday morning. His weddings STARTED at $28,000....he said several times started....Of course his equipment did cost more than my house! So we have to keep it all in perspective. Anyway, he was really good and he showed photos and how he got the lighting he used. I heard from other well known photographers on technical issues light the best way to use outdoor/indoor/studio lighting, lenses, composition, print competition and other info. I'm so fortunate to be a part of an association where the members genuinely share information that has helped them become successful. It was so informative and I'm definately a better photographer for attending.

Mrs. K and Mr. B's wedding was so beautiful! It was outside at Wolly Hollow State Park in Greenbriar, AR. Josh and I had a such great time at this wedding. Here are just a few of our favorites.

The couple had their moment before hand on a pier on the lake. It was a gorgeous setting!

I never cry during the ceremony when we are shooting...but this ceremony got me all choked up!! It was sooo sweet. The preacher had them each hold their hands and told them they were the hands that would hold their 'newborn children, rock their babies, and become old'....etc. It was precious.There was a very interesting part to the ceremony....A snake came out and got really close to us!! Close enough where the groom was kicking at it! Yikes! I took several steps back and shot from a different angle! ha

Mrs. K and Mr. B I wish you many years of happiness--they have already dated over 7 years! I know you guys will do great! Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

We were so excited to be a part of Mrs. R and Mrs. J's wedding a couple of weeks ago! I knew the settings would be awesome for photographing. The Anthony Chapel, located inside Garvan Gardens in Hot Springs, is so beautiful! It was a gorgeous setting for the wedding of Mr. J and Mrs. R.

After they were declared married!! I like how it looks like it is in motion.

Off to the fabulous reception at the Arlington hotel! This was a great party! The first dance as husband and wife...

Miss G just turned 6! She was soooo easy to photograph! She was having so much fun being outside and would happily follow directions for poses. Here are a few of my favorites.
I really liked how you can see her reflection in the water. She was really happy picking flowers!

When she was all finshed, she had a big bouquet that she gave to her mom! It was really sweet.

The W family has a tradition, anytime one of the children graduate they have family portraits made! Great tradition! I was so excited to be able to take the portraits this year. They are a beautiful family and you can tell they have a lot of fun together. White shirts and jeans are a great classic look for outdoors.

Missions update

I just wanted to give a quick update on 2 of the missionaries that YOU are helping to support. Tomorrow my brother and niece will begin a very long journey to Zambia, Africa. They are staying for 4 weeks. We believe in the work they will do and have set out to do of spreading the word of Jesus. Please say a prayer for them! Kelly's Photography was able to donate to their mission trip. YOU have helped to spread the good news to those in Africa. Thanks for every session, event or print you've ordered!

Miss AK is such a doll!! I love all the bows and flowers her mom puts on her--very girly! So, so sweet in her moms arms. Miss AK's mommy is such a dear friend of mine.

MRS. J (as of Saturday!) had an awesome bridal portrait session at the Foster Robinson house. Mrs. J looked so glamourous on her special day--I can't wait to post some of the great wedding photos!

I was afraid it would rain on Saturday, instead we had PERFECT weather! Overcast skys are the ideal lighting for outdoors. There was a nice breeze that kept blowing her veil. I thought it looked so pretty!

Miss N..what can I say, they just don't make them much cuter!! She is a DOLL!! She was so spunky and full of life, fun, fun fun.Love those big blue eyes.

Love how the wind caught her just as she was peeking around. She loved this house at the Old Mill. Miss N kept calling it "her dollhouse" and she wanted her daddy to build her one! How could you say "no" to this face!

I had a great time with Miss N and her mommy! Miss N will be a big sister soon, can't wait to take some of her and sweet little baby brother!

Miss M called me a few months ago and we booked her October wedding....at the time we didn't know about little surprise baby! I'm sad I won't be able to do Miss M's wedding, I know it will be awesome! Thanks Miss M for still allowing me to shoot your engagements and bridals!!
I thought this turned out really cool! Looks like sparks when they kiss! They were funny, after 'kissy' shots I would have to say "okay...got it...ummm...alright let's move on!" :) I think those were their favorites! Such a nice looking couple!!

There were a lot of laughs and fun during their session! I know they will have a long life together, they were so sweet and considerate of each other!

Bridal Weekend

I went down to Hot Springs on Saturday to shoot Rebeccas bridal portraits. We planned to start at Garvan Gardens, however the weather did not cooperate! We got some awesome shots at the Arlington. I'll be able to show them in a few weeks.

Later that day I met up with Katie at the Capitol. The Capitol is a great spot for brides! She looked great and we had fun. You'll have to wait till June to see these posted!

Mothers Day!

Mothers day is coming up! Do you know what I'm asking for??? This picture printed in a large size! I LOVE it! This little man melts my heart and I along with other moms LOVE pictures of my child. I would highly recommend pictures as gifts for Mom and Grandma this year. Have you ever heard a Mom or Grandmother say "Oh, just another picture of you..." ummm no! They get excited and love the sweet pictures! :)

Can you believe it?!! 100 sessions have come to experience Kelly's Photography!! Thank you to all of you who have made this dream a reality! I felt so honored to be asked by some great friends to come to the hospital after Miss S was born. She was just 3 hours old when we took these. We hardly did any posed pics, just captured those precious moments when they were loving on their new baby. I love, love, love them!! Big brother mr. B loved his little sister instantly! He wanted to hold her and kiss her.

Delta School Update

Last week I spent Sunday-Thursday in Hot Springs for the Southwestern Professional Photographers seminar. It was the most intense 5 days ever!! I remember at one point I sent a simple text 'thanks' (and I'm a fast texter) after I sent it I was completely lost in class...It was that intense. I had to focus the entire time and I was learning something new every moment! It was an awesome experience! I chose to attend "Digital Don's" course on photoshop. There are 4 people in the USA that have his merits....4!! He is the know all when it comes to photoshop. I felt like a sponge wanting to soak up everything he had to say. I received numerous pages of information and I can't wait to put it all to use! Here is just a very very small sample of what we worked on.
